🔼  Worldwide Wildcats. Meet the newest men’s basketball signee, Alexsandar Gavalyugov! The 6’2 guard is from Sofia, Bulgaria. He’s a graduate of the NBA Global Academy in Australia. He most recently averaged 15.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 6.3 rebounds per game at the adidas EuroCamp.

Alexsandar is a crafty, competitive lead guard with high level dribble, pass and shooting tools. At a young age, he has already excelled on the international stage and impacted winning. Our staff is looking forward to working with Alexsandar as he transitions to college basketball.

🔼 Cast Your Vote. WNBA All-Star Voting is now open! Vote for our former Wildcat Maddy Siegrist here. She’s averaging 14.4 points, 1.2 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game with the Dallas Wings this season. The former Wildcat finished her Villanova career as the all-time leading scorer with 2,896 points.

🔼  Flying High. The field hockey team finished the academic year with the highest GPA in the department! They completed the 2023-24 year with a 3.706 GPA. This accomplishment has earned them the Nnena Lynch Award.

🔼  ‘Cats On Tour. Villanova volleyball has begun their tour of Europe! They’re spending 10 days in the Mediterranean region for a European Volleyball Tour. Most days will feature friendly matches against foreign teams, including national teams and local clubs. They’ll begin in Slovenia before going to Italy.
