🔼 Coming Soon. It’s almost time for the BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Tournament and luckily for us, we’re hosting! The tournament will take place at Villanova Stadium beginning with the semi-finals tomorrow. The Wildcats will take on the Denver Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards, Providence will play Georgetown. The championship game is set for Saturday at 5 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets to both games now!
🔼 We’re Hosting. For the second-straight year, Villanova is hosting the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships! The meet at Villanova Stadium will be held next week, May 9-11. Fans can get their general admission tickets for Friday and Saturday here. This will be the 27th time that Villanova has hosted the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships.
🔼 Looking Ahead. Villanova baseball fell to Saint Joseph’s last night, 12-8. The Hawks came out hot and took an early 6-0 lead in the second, but the Wildcats fired back in the fourth inning thanks to a Cam Hassert double. The Hawks led 10-4 in the sixth inning when Cam came back up to the plate, he proceeded to launch a two-run homer. He finished the night with two hits and three RBI. The Wildcats will host Iona this weekend for a three-game series.
🔼 Big 5 Ballers Men’s basketball player Eric Dixon was named the 2023-24 Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Year! He led the team with 16.6 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game. Justin Moore and TJ Bamba landed on the Big 5 Second Team. The Big 5 continued to show love to the Wildcats with women’s basketball awards. Lucy Olsen was named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and Leading Scorer as she averaged 23.3 points per game. She also added on to the All-Big 5 First Team. Wildcats Christina Dalce and Bella Runyan landed on the All-Big 5 Second Team.
