📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Roll Call. The men’s lacrosse Big East Weekly Honor Roll is in and two Wildcats made the list! Senior attacker Matt Licata and fifth year LSM Stephen Zupicich each earned their fifth Honor Roll selections of the season. Matt scored two goals and recorded an assist in the win over Marquette on Saturday. He has scored in 14 straight games and sits second in the conference in points per game. Stephen caused two turnovers and picked up five ground balls on Saturday. He leads the nation with 39 caused turnovers. He also scored his fourth goal of the season.

🔼  Double Trouble. Two Wildcat softball players made the Big East Weekly Honor Roll as well. Alyssa Seidler and Ava Franz were honored after their fifth Big East series sweep. Alyssa pitched a gem on Friday with a one-hit complete game shutout while striking out 12. Ava hit two home runs over the weekend and brought in seven runs.

🔼 Tuesday Trip. The baseball team is road tripping to Lewisburg to take on Bucknell today at 3:30 pm. Graham Moore will start on the mound for the Wildcats. Villanova is coming off a weekend series win over Creighton after a dramatic walk-off finish on Sunday. Scott Shaw has been on a hot streak the past week, he rides a five-game hitting streak and has hit three home runs in the last five outings.

🏆 Devin Rivera was named Big East Pitcher of the Week after beating Creighton on Sunday. He pitched 6.2 innings and allowed just three hits and one run.

🔼 Big Four. Four members of the swimming & diving teams were named Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area performers — Audrey Pastorek, Nicholas Jubilee, Molly Benson, and Nolan Danus. Earlier this year, this group of four were all named CSC Academic All-District.

• Molly Benson: Psychology Major, Big East Champion

🔷 ONE BIG THING

Welcome Party. Women’s soccer is welcoming a new assistant coach, Ryan Jones! He has previously spent years at Seattle University, Murray State, and most recently Case Western Reserve University. He helped last year’s team to a 12-2-4 record. He has also mentored multiple youth leagues in Pennsylvania, Washington, and Ohio. He played for four years at Marywood University and internationally with Eccleshill United FC and PS Kemi Kings.
