📈 STOCK UP

🔼 We Are The Champions. Villanova softball won their first ever Big East regular season title! The Wildcats took two of three at UConn and secured the No. 1 seed in the conference championship. Kelsey White hit a home run, an RBI single, and struck out four batters in yesterday’s 4-2 win. Ally Jones and Chloe Smith also had two hits a piece. The Wildcats will host Butler next weekend before taking on the Big East Championship.

🔼 Career Day. The women’s lacrosse team took down Marquette 17-14 to clinch a Big East Tournament trip! The win gives the Wildcats the No. 4 seed. Sami Carey had a career-high 10 points and added eight assists. This was the second game this season that they’ve scored 17 goals. The Wildcats recorded a season high of 14 assists. They’ll take on No. 1 Denver in the semifinals on Thursday.

🔼  Keep Climbing. Men’s golf spent their Sunday climbing the leaderboard at the Big East Championship. They moved up to third-place after round two of the tournament. Peter Weaver leads the time in 12th-place individually at 2-over. Jackson Lehner is behind him tied for 14th and PJ O’Rourke is in 16th. They’ll finish things up today in the final round.

🔼  Record Chasers. The men’s 4xMile squad completed a tough feat at the Penn Relays. The race had never been finished in less than 16 minutes, but the Wildcats did the unthinkable and set the new record. Sean Donoghue, Charlie O’Donovan, Marco Langon, and Liam Murphy ran the second-fastest time in world history at 15:51.91. They took the Championship of America title with their time. Liam also anchored the distance medley relay crew that took home a title on Friday. On the women’s side, Roschell Clayton won the women’s high jump championship.

🔷 ONE BIG THING

Former Wildcat Jalen Brunson made New York Knicks history in the NBA Playoffs over the weekend. He scored 47 points, the most in a playoff game in franchise history. He also added 10 assists in their win over Philadelphia.
