🔼 Pistol Pete. After winning the Wildcat Spring Invitational for the second-straight year, Peter Weaver was named Big East Male Golfer of the Week! He finished 7-under par and led the field with 15 birdies. He also had the best scoring average on Par 3s. The Wildcats will take on the Big East Championships this weekend.

🔼 On The Big Stage. A trio of former Villanova basketball players are teamed up on the New York Knicks roster, even ESPN is calling them the “Nova Knicks.” Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, and Josh Hart each had great performances in Game Two against the Philadelphia Phillies in the NBA Playoffs. Jalen scored 24 points with eight rebounds and six assists, plus a big-time three-pointer close to the final buzzer. Donte also hit a huge three-pointer and added 19 points and four rebounds. Josh picked up a double-double with 21 points and 15 boards. According to the Inquirer, a member of the New York media requested “the three Villanova guys.” The trio won a national championship together while at Villanova. On the opposing side of the Knicks, former Wildcat Kyle Lowry scored eight points and recorded six rebounds and two steals for the 76ers.

🔼  Runs Galore. Neither team had trouble scoring in Villanova baseball’s 18-10 loss to Bucknell yesterday. Both teams scored in each of the first five innings. Unfortunately, when the ‘Cats would attack, Bucknell would answer. Seven Wildcats recorded an RBI and Dylan Dennis recorded multiple. He and Jack O’Reilly were ball magnets as they were both plunked twice. The ‘Cats will head to UConn this weekend for a Big East series.

🔼  Hit The Road. Villanova softball is on the road at Pennsylvania for their last midweek matchup of the season. The Wildcats look to start the week strong before diving into a weekend where the Big East’s first and second-place teams go head-to-head at UConn. They’re coming off yet another Big East series sweep against DePaul. First pitch at Pennsylvania is set for 4 pm today and you can stream it on ESPN+

🔷 ONE BIG THING

We’re In. The men’s lacrosse team has clinched their 12th-straight Big East Lacrosse Tournament berth! The Wildcats have qualified for every Big East Tournament since it’s inception in 2012. The tournament will be held at Villanova, May 2-4.
