Good Morning Nova Nation 7/15: King Of New York
Today, we're focusing on Wildcats in the NBA.
Good morning, Nova Nation! There’s nothing like a Villanova sunrise to start the morning!
What are we having with our Brew?
🏀 All about the pros
🔷 And much, much more!
Starting Up is powered by our friends at Jeff D’Ambrosio Auto Group, a leading auto dealership serving Downingtown and the surrounding communities since 1975.
🔼 King Of New York. Former Wildcat Jalen Brunson continues to make us proud in his NBA career. The New York Knicks point guard agreed to a four-year, $156.5 million extension. By taking a pay cut, he’s saving the team more than $100 million to continue to build a championship caliber team. That’s the Villanova way!
🔼 Staying Local. Former Wildcat Kyle Lowry isn’t leaving Philly yet! He signed a one-year deal to stay in his hometown with the Philadelphia 76ers. He and the 76ers will remain in a battle with the New York Knicks for the top of the Eastern Conference.
🔼 Headed Home. Sticking with Pro Wildcat news, Saddiq Bey has signed with the Washington Wizards. He returns to his hometown on a three-year, $20 million contract. The former Wildcat averaged 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Atlanta Hawks last season. He is one of just nine players with at least 650 career made three-pointers through his first four NBA seasons.
