🔼 Senior Salutin’. Prior to its BIG EAST opener against Seton Hall on Saturday, the Villanova women’s soccer program honored its seven seniors pregame.

Then the Wildcats honored them during the game with a historic performance in a 1-0 win over the Pirates. Its the fifth clean sheet of the season for Villanova and the first time the ‘Cats held an opponent without a shot on goal since 2008.

🔼 Opening Act. It was a busy opening fall weekend for the Villanova women’s tennis program, which competed at both the Villanova and Delaware Invitational this past weekend.

🔼 Show Stopper. It hasn’t taken long for former Villanova standout Payton Woodward to make a name for herself in the professional ranks.

🔼 Point Taken. A Fynn Lahrsen goal in the 70th minute gave the Villanova men’s soccer a hard-fought 1-1 draw with DePaul in the BIG EAST opener for both sides this past Friday at the Higgins Soccer Complex.

🔼 Earning A Split. The Villanova volleyball squad will head into BIG EAST play with momentum after the Wildcats outlasted Wichita State, 3-2, in a five-set marathon on Saturday to close out the South Dakota Classic.

As a team, it was the most kills, assists, digs and blocks in a single match this season while Abby Harrell established a new team season-best in individual kills and digs, Ava Harris set a new season-high in assists and Reagan McGivern the same for blocks.
