🔼 Staying Clean. The scoreless streak continues for the Villanova women’s soccer squad on Thursday afternoon.

The ‘Cats battled visiting Bucknell to a 0-0 draw to improve to 4-0-2 on the year and marking its sixth consecutive clean sheet to start the 2026 campaign.

With the clean sheet, graduate goalkeeper Hannah Dickinson now has 18 in her Villanova career, giving her the fourth-most in program history as she bypasses Lynn McHale who had 17 from 1984-87.

🔼 Dub In DC. The Villanova Volleyball squad kicked off their weekend in the nation’s capital in dominant fashion.

The ‘Cats rolled to a 3-0 sweep of American in the first of two games at the American Invitational in Washington, D.C.

Taylor Lewis (13), Abby Harrell (12), and Campbell McKinnon (11) led the way for the offensive attack for the ‘Cats

🔼 Friday Night Lights. Villanova steps up to the FBS level tonight when the Wildcats travel to face 24th-ranked Louisville.

The Wildcats enter at 1-1 after earning their first victory of the season with a hard-fought 17-16 road win over Bucknell last weekend. Quarterback Pat McQuaide bounced back with 218 yards and two touchdowns, while Ja’briel Mace led the ground game with 70 yards.

🔼 Late Bloomer. In the latest edition of our Nova Notebook introduction series, we get to know transfer forward Abdou Samb.

When he first arrived in the United States from Senegal at age 11, Samb was not contemplating a future that included basketball.

Come to find out, though, that his mother had played the sport overseas. He picked up a ball not long after moving to Maryland and soon grew to appreciate this new game. It didn't hurt that his length – he now stands 6-8 – could provide him an advantage on the hardwood.

"I just fell in love with it and I've been playing ever since then," Samb states.
