🔼 Cat Scratch Fever. Two legendary hoops programs have locked in for a brand-new home and home series, announced this week.
After announcing a home-and-home series with Pitt last week, Villanova unveiled a second home and home series, this one with the University of Michigan. The Wildcats and Wolverines will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at the Crisler Center with Michigan to return the game in 2026-27.
The Wolverines and Wildcats have met on the grand stage of the NCAA Tournament twice in the past decade, most notably in the 2018 NCAA Final, won by Villanova 79-62 in San Antonio. In 2022, Villanova knocked off Michigan 63-55, also in San Antonio, in an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 matchup on route to the 2022 NCAA Final Four.

🔼 Roses For Roschell. Add another line to the resume of Villanova women’s track & field star Roschell Clayton.
This week, she was announced as one of two BIG EAST nominees for the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year award. It is the second straight year that Clayton has been selected as a conference nominee for one of the nation's most prestigious honors.
It is also the third time in the last four years that a Wildcats women's track & field athlete has earned recognition as a BIG EAST nominee for the Woman of the Year honor.
The NCAA Woman of the Year program was established in 1991 and honors the academic achievements, athletics excellence, community service and leadership of graduating female college athletes. One of the first winners of the esteemed honor was Villanova women's track & field national champion Nnenna Lynch who was the 1993 NCAA Woman of the Year and the first Rhodes Scholar in Villanova University history.
🔼 Academic Aces. While an ace on the golf course may be rear, an ace in the classroom isn’t rare at all for the Villanova men’s golf squad.
For the 12th straight year, the ‘Cats got it done in the classroom to earn academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.
A sixth straight season was capped with a Presidents Special Recognition accolade, granted to Villanova for maintaining a team GPA above a 3.5 for the 2024-25 academic year.
Three Wildcats picked up All-America Scholar honors, the second career laurel for both Jackson Lehner and Ryan Pamer while Matt Zerfass received his first mention on the list.
