👏 What It’s All About
🔷 And much more!

🔼 Sunday Shutout. Nothing like some strong defense and timely offense to grab the first victory of the 2025. That’s what the Villanova women’s soccer team put together on Sunday afternoon, grinding out a 1-0 victory over visiting Columbia. Graduate striker Hannah Curtin came off the bench to record the lone goal on the day, marking her first as a Wildcat. In net, Hannah Dickinson picked up the 12th clean sheet of her career, seventh as a Wildcat.
🔼 Grand Opening. It may have taken two days, but the season opener for the Villanova men’s soccer team was worth the wait as the ‘Cats finished off a dominant 5-0 victory over Rider last Friday at Higgins Soccer Complex.
Sam Nyenka led the offensive outburst for Villanova (1-0) to the tune of two goals that bookended the Blue and White scoring. Fynn Lahrsen, Luke Martelli and Gleb Bogdanov also got in on the scoring with a goal each. The five goals scored on Rider mark the most for the Wildcats since a 5-0 victory over Delaware on August 30, 2019.
🔼 Young Gun. The future of Villanova lacrosse is getting brighter and brighter. Last Friday, incoming Wildcat freshman Kessy Cox picked up a national honor, being named to the Nike Lacrosse/Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Freshman Rankings.
The first-year attackman came in at No. 92 on the list, moving the four-star recruit up five spots from his No. 97 ranking in the 2025 recruiting class.
