What else is going on in Nova Nation?
🏀 California Dreamin’
🎾 Smarty Cats
🔷 And much more!

🔼 Let’s Jam. Lots of new faces, both on the court and on the sidelines, this upcoming season for the ‘Cats and today is your chance to check them out and even get to meet them!
That’s right, the Summer Jam Open practice is set for this afternoon at 4 pm at Finneran Pavilion and thanks to Friends of Nova, there will be a post practice autograph session as well!

🔼 California Dreamin’. Former Villanova standout Eric Dixon showed the Lakers exactly what we all already knew… he can hoop.
With his performance in the NBA Summer League, Dixon was signed to an official free agent contract with the Lakers this past weekend.

🔼 Smarty Cats. Not only did the Villanova women’s tennis team succeed on the court this spring, they showed up in the classroom as well.
This past week, nine different ‘Cats were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, while the squad as a whole earned the ITA All-Academic Team distinction as a group.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, students must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale) and have all varsity letters factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

🔼 Summertime Workin’. While most of their college friends hit the beaches or relaxed this summer, the ‘Cats got to work with some summertime grindin’. Under head coach Denise Dillon, Villanova wrapped up their summer sessions this past week and will take a few weeks off before getting back to it in late August.
