🔼 The Hall Call. It’s a phone call Jay Wright won’t ever forget.
This week, the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2026, honoring three legendary players and three iconic coaches whose collegiate careers represent the highest levels of achievement in the history of the game. Former Villanova head coach Jay Wright was among the illustrious class.
The Class of 2026 will be formally enshrined during the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Celebration presented by UMB Private Wealth Management on Oct. 22, 2026, at the College Basketball Experience in Kansas City, Missouri.
In Wright’s 21 seasons at the helm of the Wildcats, how many times did Villanova win the BIG EAST Regular Season titles?

🔼 Eyes On Us. It was a double dose of preseason accolades this week for junior standout Ja’briel Mace.
First, Mace was recognized nationally on Monday morning with the announcement of the 2026 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team, where he was a first team selection at kick returner.
On Tuesday, he was among 30 offensive players nationwide who were named to the Walter Payton Award Preseason Watch List.
Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Villanova Football this fall. The Wildcats will
host William & Mary on Friday, August 28 at 6 p.m.
🔼 Countin’ Down. We are now just 4️⃣4️⃣ days away from kickoff for the 2026 Villanova Football season.
Wearing #4️⃣4️⃣ will be redshirt freshman linebacker Walker Murray, who donned 45 last fall for the Wildcats.
Murray is a local product, growing up in Yardley and attending Pennsbury High School. He earned First Team All-Area honors and Second Team All-State accolades after recording 125 tackles, 25 TFLs and four sacks during his senior season.

🔼 Sneak Peek. Villanova fans will have a chance to see all the newcomers and some of the returning faces with the annual Summer Jam Open Practice later this month at Finneran Pavilion.
Following the workout, current team members will be available for an autograph signing session.
