host William & Mary on Friday, August 28 at 6 p.m.

🔼 Countin’ Down. We are now just 4️⃣9️⃣ days away from kickoff for the 2026 Villanova Football season.

The date: Sept. 22, 2018
The opponent: Bucknell

The 15th-ranked Wildcats used an electric start to the showtime with nearby Bucknell, scoring touchdowns on four of the first 12 plays from scrimmage en route to a 4️⃣9️⃣-7 victory over the Bison.

It’s the last time Villanova scored exactly 4️⃣9️⃣ points in a game.

In the win, the Wildcats had eight different players with at least one rushing carry while piling up 302 yards on the ground and six rushing TDs.

🔼 Secure Your Seat. The countdown is on to the start of the 2026 football season!

Single game tickets are ON SALE NOW for all home games, including the season opener on Friday, August 28 against William & Mary as Villanova makes its highly anticipated Patriot League debut.

This is the third straight year that the Wildcats are opening the season in the friendly confines of Villanova Stadium, where our fans and all of Nova Nation are our home field advantage.

🔼 Class Acts. The USILA academic awards were rewarding for Villanova as the 'Cats were selected for a Team Academic Award, while David Evanchick and Luke Raymond each picked up Scholar All-American accolades.

The Wildcats earned the team award for the fifth straight year after achieving a GPA above 3.0 for the academic year.

🔼 And Another One. The list goes on and on and on.

Ryan Pamer added to his laundry list of accolades for the 2025-26 school year, picking up PhillySIDA Academic All-Area honors this week. He was one of six area golfers that earned the laurel, joining Peter Weaver as the only Wildcats to pick up the honor in the last five years.

Villanova's No. 1 golfer all season was an All-BIG EAST First Team selection, also earning PING All-Region this year. He led the team in stroke average with a 71.94, finishing atop the VU lineup in eight different events with five top five finishes including second at the BIG EAST Championship.
