🔼 Inside The Grind. While the rest of us may be taking an extra day to head to the beach or hitting the golf course, the ‘Cats are hard at work preparing for another run at the postseason in 2026.

This week, go inside the huddle as Omari Bursey throws on the mic and takes us inside summer workouts.

🔼 Countin’ Down. The days keep ticking away as we get closer and closer to kickoff for the 2026 season for the Villanova Football squad.

We are just 6️⃣3️⃣ days away from the season opener against William & Mary on Friday, August 28th.

One of the most versatile members of the Villanova offensive line is back for one more run with the ‘Cats as #6️⃣3️⃣ Quinn Whalen returns for his fifth year.

Whalen has played both guard and center over his career at Villanova, seeing time in 22 games over the past two seasons, including playoff experience during the ‘Cats latests postseason runs.

The Chalfont, Pa., native has 28 games in total and looks to lead the way for another potent Villanova offense this fall.

🔼 Drive To Five. For the fifth straight season, a Villanova softball player represented the squad on the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area list as junior Maranda Runco earned her second consecutive accolade this week.

It was another impressive campaign for the slugger out of Olyphant, Pa., who was named a back-to-back All-BIG EAST First Team member after breaking the program's single season walks record at the plate. The Mid Valley graduate led the team in home runs (nine), RBI (37), slugging percentage (.547), on-base percentage (.463) and OPS (1.010).

Academically, Runco holds a 3.54 as a Communication major with a concentration in Media Production and is well decorated for her prowess in the classroom.
