🔼 Crown ‘Em. From 800 East Lancaster Ave to Madison Square Garden, the Nova Knicks are champions once again.

On Saturday night, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges brought the New York Knicks their first NBA title in 53 years.

The trio, who won the NCAA Championship in 2016 with the Wildcats, hoisted the NBA trophy just 10 years later.

🔼 Nine Is Fine. Only four men's athletes in Villanova history have been All-Americans nine times spanning the cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field seasons. The latest to join such rarefied air while representing the Wildcats is senior distance runner Marco Langon, who did so by way of a fourth place finish in the 5000 meters at the 2026 Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past Friday night.

Langon crossed the finish line in the national championship race at Hayward Field in 13:42.77, securing his fourth career top six NCAA finish in the 5K counting the indoor and outdoor seasons. That feat – finishing that high as many as four times in the 5000 meters – is a club of one. Langon owns third place (2025) and fourth place finishes outdoors to go along with a runner-up finish (2026) and sixth place result (2025) indoors.

🔼 Italian Stallion. The latest piece to the puzzle for Coach Willard and the Villanova men’s basketball program is quite literally a BIG addition.

On Saturday, the Wildcats announced the addition of 7-3 center Luigi Suigo, a native of Tradate, Varese, Italy, to its 2026-27 roster. Over the weekend, Suigo withdrew his name from consideration from the 2026 National Basketball Association Draft after having been one of 73 invitee to the NBA Draft Combine last month.

Suigo played for BC Mega Basket in the Adriatic (ABA) League in 2025-26, averaging 18.3 minutes, 7.9 points and 5.1 rebounds across 26 games.
