Good morning, Nova Nation! The first U.S. Pope is Villanova graduate Robert Francis Prevost! His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, as he will be known, graduated in 1977 with a degree in Mathematics. He is also the first Augustinian Pope.

🔼  End Of The Road. Villanova softball season came to a close at the BIG EAST Tournament on Wednesday. The Wildcats scored 10 runs, but it was not enough. Butler defeated Villanova 13-10 in the nightcap. The season ends with a 27-26-1 overall record and a 15-9 record in BIG EAST play.

🔼 Kings In Queens. Villanova baseball will spend the weekend in Queens, New York as they play St. John’s in a three-game BIG EAST series. Tonight’s game is set for 6 p.m. They’ll continue play tomorrow at 3 p.m. and conclude the weekend on Sunday at 1 p.m.

🔼 Aced It. Villanova Athletics received public recognition for 14 varsity programs with multiyear APR scores in the top 10% nationally. The programs, including nine women’s and five men’s teams, achieved a perfect score of 1000, highlighting Villanova’s commitment to academic excellence. This achievement is a testament to Villanova’s success in both academics and athletics.
