🔼 The Oregon Trail. Members of the Villanova track & field squad are hunting for tickets to Eugene, Ore. this weekend as the Wildcats lace ‘em up at the NCAA East Regional meet in Lexington, Ky.

On Thursday, junior Olivia Allen powered down the straightaway in the 400m hurdles to advance to Saturday’s semifinal and earned a chance to battle for a spot at the NCAA Championship meet in two weeks.

Men's action is back on tap for Friday night in Lexington with the quarterfinal round of the 3000 meter steeplechase and semifinals in the 5000 meters. The meet concludes with women's competition on Saturday when the Wildcats will have entries in the high jump, 400 meter hurdles and 5000 meters.

🔼 Making An Impact. Bridging the gap between college athletics and life after sports can be a daunting conversation while student-athletes are still in the midst of their college career.

The Black Student-Athlete Summit has become an annual setting where Villanova student-athletes have been able to lean into those conversations.

This year’s trip to the Black Student-Athlete Summit from May 20-23 took seven Wildcats and Assistant AD for UNITAS - Community, Culture and Engagement Leashia Lewis to Eugene, Oregon for the four-day event. The summit equips student-athletes with tangible skills, strategic connections and pathways to leadership in business, culture and community.

🔼 What A Run. It was quite a run for Villanova alum Brad Adams at the helm of the men’s tennis program. This week, it was announced that Adams tenure leading the ‘Cats will conclude after 19 seasons.

Since joining the coaching staff in 2006 and later becoming head coach, Adams built a reputation for player development, academic success and sustained competitiveness within the BIG EAST Conference. Throughout his tenure, Adams developed meaningful and lasting relationships with generations of Villanova student-athletes and alumni, reflecting his deep commitment to mentorship and student development.

Under Adams' leadership, Villanova student-athletes earned five All-BIG EAST honors and collected 13 weekly conference accolades, including five BIG EAST Player of the Week awards. His teams also excelled academically, with the Wildcats earning ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition 37 times, while the program was named an ITA All-Academic Team in each of the last four seasons.
