🔼 A Dozen Medals. Villanova men’s track & field runner Liam Murphy won his 12th BIG EAST gold medal to tie the all-time Villanova record for most conference championships by a men’s athlete! He completed this feat by winning the 1500m. Marco Langon broke the meet and facility records on his way to a gold medal in the 5000m, with CJ Sullivan behind him. Dan Watcke finished third in the 800m, while Sal Barretta placed third in the 400m hurdles.
The men’s team finished the BIG EAST Championships in fourth with 95 points.

🔼 Triple Crowns. The women’s track & field team won three individual gold medals! Olivia Allen won the 400m hurdles for the second-straight year. Ajanae Thompson won the 100m hurdles after posting the fastest qualifying time on Friday. Malaika Cunningham won the high jump as she cleared the bar at 1.75 meters on her second attempt. The Wildcats also placed fourth with 109.5 points.

🔼 Making Improvements. The Wildcat rowing team scored a program-best 29 points at the CAA Championship on Saturday, finishing in fourth-place. Gianna Zajac, Grace Quirk and Maggie Coyne were named to the All-CAA Team. The 2V8 boat earned bronze in the Grand Finals for 12 points.

🔼 That’s A Wrap. The 2025 Villanova baseball season came to a close over the weekend as they won one and dropped two to Seton Hall. Brayden Leonard ends the season with a team-high 60 hits, becoming the first freshman to lead the Wildcats in hits since 2019. Michael Whooley finishes with a 30-game on-base streak, the longest in program history since 2006.
