🔼 BSB/T&F. Two events in the books and two medalists on the podium made for a good start to the 2026 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships Presented by JEEP for the Villanova women's track & field team on Thursday evening.
Fifth year distance runner Margaret Carroll earned the silver medal in the 10000 meters and first year thrower Jess Bentum was the bronze medalist in the hammer. They each recorded lifetime bests in their events to garner their All-BIG EAST honors.
Restoring Mobility, Advancing Outcomes
Osteoarthritis gradually breaks down cartilage, causing stiffness, swelling, and worsening pain. But it doesn't have to stay that way. Today's joint replacement procedures have success rates above 90%, and the Freedom® Knee and Libertas® Hip are designed to meet the current standard of care.
It's time to Pursue Life®.
🔼 Praisin’ Pamer. Senior Ryan Pamer added one more line to his Villanova men’s golf resume this week.
This week, Pamer became the second golfer in program history to be named to the All-BIG EAST First Team. It marks the third BIG EAST All-Conference honor of his career, after achieving second team status in 2022-23 and 2024-25.

🔼 Region’s Finest. Junior draw specialist Emma Verhoest earned IWLCA Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team honors following another dominant season for Villanova.
A difference-maker in the draw circle, she set Villanova's career draw control record as a junior, totaling 423 for her career, including 145 this season. She also established a new single-game program record with 19 draw controls against Vermont.
Verhoest started all 15 games this season and scored her first career goal in a win at Binghamton.
🔼 Coming Together. Next week, seven Wildcat student-athletes will head to Eugene, Oregon to come together with student-athletes from around the country at the Black Student Athlete Summit presented by PlayFly.
Ambyr Baker (Women’s Soccer), Djoonicka Buissereth (Track & Field), Janelle Daniels (Cheer), Kennedy Henry (Women’s Basketball), Quincy Jones (Men’s Tennis), Campbell McKinnon (Volleyball) and Ajanae Thompson (Track & Field) all will be attending through the Villanova Athletics’ UNITAS initiative.
