🔼 Mighty Marco. With NCAA postseason events just a few weeks away, Villanova track & field standout Marco Lagnon is putting everyone on notice.

At the Franson Last Chance Meet in Azusa, Calif., Lagnong ran the fastest race ever by a Villanovan during the collegiate regular season. The Raritan, N.J., native lowered his lifetime PR to 3:32.79 to record the No. 2 time in both collegiate history and the Villanova record book.

🔼 One Step Closer. A trio of former ‘Cats is one step closer to reaching the NBA Finals as the “Nova Knicks” of Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges led the New York Knicks to a sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

The trio are looking to lead the Knicks back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

🔼 Senior Salutin’. No better way to close out their careers at home than with a W, right?

That’s what the Villanova baseball team did on Sunday, wrapping up its home portion of the 2026 schedule with a dominant 8-2 victory on Senior Day at Villanova Ballpark.

Senior Collin Quintano celebrated his final home game in a big way, getting thing started with a two-RBI single in the first inning to give the ‘Cats an early lead that they never looked back on.

🔼 Country’s Finest. The laundry list of accolades for Villanova men's lacrosse player Jake Melchionni grew even larger late last week as the New Jersey native was selected as the Third Team LSM on both the USA Lacrosse and Nike Lacrosse Media All-America lists.

The junior is one of less than 100 players across the country who earned recognition on the USA Lacrosse list, ranked as the third best LSM in the nation.

The accolades come after a year where Melchionni also earned BIG EAST Specialist of the Year, a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team honor and a mention on the Tewaaraton Award watch list in addition to weekly laurels for five separate outings.
