🔼 Protect Our Course. The Villanova golf team is dominating their Wildcat Spring Invitational at Lulu Country Club for the second-straight year. Peter Weaver took the tournament’s individual title at 7-under par. Ryan Pamer was right behind him in second-place at 4-under. Jackson Lehner rounded out the top-10, finishing in tenth-place. The Wildcats finished 13 strokes ahead of second-place Saint Joseph’s.

📸 After that performance, the football team should leave the clubs with the golf team!

🔼 Roll Call. Pitcher Devin Rivera was named to this week’s Big East Weekly Honor Roll! He got the start on Sunday against Seton Hall and struck out three batters through seven innings pitched. He allowed no runs and just four hits in Villanova’s first shutout of the season. He and the Wildcats completed the three-game sweep over the Pirates.

🔼 Last Call For Midweek Madness. Wildcat softball will host Lehigh tonight for the final home midweek game of the year. First pitch is set for 3:30 pm and you can tune in on FloSoftball.com.

🏆 Lilly St. Jean earned a spot on the Big East Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season! She hit her fifth home run of the year on Sunday and brought in six runs throughout the weekend as the Wildcats swept St. Johns. They’ve now swept four Big East opponents this season.

🔷 ONE BIG THING

Rockstar Rookies. Men’s and women’s lacrosse players took home Big East Freshman of the Week honors this week!

• Ryan Cunningham earned Big East Freshman of the Week for his play against St. Johns. He went 9-13 with a .692 faceoff win percentage and picked up four ground balls against the Red Storm.

• Emma Verhoest was named Big East Freshman of the Week after her record-tying weekend. The draw specialist tied the Villanova all-time best with 16 draws won against Xavier. She’s won 84 draws so far this season, which ranks fourth in a Villanova single-season.
