🔼  Saving Grace. Villanova baseball’s Alec Sachais was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week! He pitched five innings over the weekend, posting a .063 opponent batting average. He earned two saves in two wins over Georgetown and now has a career-high five saves this season.

Shortstop Michael Whooley was named to the Weekly Honor Roll after hitting .462 over the Wildcats’ last four games. He hit two home runs and drove in four runs as the ‘Cats took two of three from Georgetown.

🔼 Big 5 Bout. Villanova softball will host Drexel for a Big 5 bout today at 3 p.m. This is Villanova’s final Philadelphia Big 5 game of the season. The Wildcats haven’t lost to Drexel in the Bridget Orchard era. The game will stream on FloCollege.

🔼 Big Three. Three Wildcats earned BIG EAST men’s lacrosse honors for the third-straight week! Beau Kemler earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after forcing four turnovers and scooping seven ground balls against Providence. Denis Fargione was named Freshman of the Week for the third time this season. He held Providence to eight goals and snagged 10 saves. Colin Michener was named to the Weekly Honor Roll after scoring four goals.

🔼  Top-Three. The golf team placed third at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational! Jackson Lehner earned his third career top 10 finish, tying for ninth-place. Ryan Pamer recorded his 25th career top 20 finish in 16th-place. They’ll play at the Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye next week.
