🔼 Legacy Cemented. The 1985 National Champion men’s basketball team will be inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame! The ceremony will take place on November 6 at Live! Casino & Hotel Event Center, the public is invited to join.

🔼 Top ‘Cats. Three Wildcats earned BIG EAST softball honors after picking up four wins last week! Ava Franz was named the Player of the Week after batting .769 with 10 hits, seven runs, nine RBI and two home runs over the week. Lexi Kobryn earned Pitcher of the Week honors after refusing to allow a run in two starts. She struck out eight batters over 10 innings. Brooklyn Ostroski was named to the Weekly Honor Roll after accomplishing a feat that hasn’t been done since 1977. She hit three home runs in a single game, becoming the second Wildcat to ever do so.
The Wildcats fell at Delaware yesterday, 12-2. They’ll start the weekend early, playing at Butler tomorrow at 3 p.m.

🔼 Big Mac. Baseball’s Luke McCollough was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week! He posted a career-high nine strikeouts through seven innings on Friday. He allowed just one walk and one run. Brayden Leonard was named to the Weekly Honor Roll after going 8-for-14 with three runs scored and five RBI.
The Wildcats will host Xavier tomorrow at 3:05 p.m.

🔼 Freshman On Fire. Two Wildcat men’s lacrosse players earned BIG EAST honors this week! Gavin Michener was named the Freshman of the Week after scoring three goals, leading the Wildcat offense. Jake Melchionni earned a Weekly Honor Roll nod after causing three turnovers and grabbing seven ground balls, both matching career-highs.
