🔼 He’s Backkkk. One more ride with the ‘Cats for guard Tyler Perkins, who announced on this week that he will return to Villanova for his senior season.

In 2025-26, Perkins was named BIG EAST Most Improved Player and a third team All-BIG EAST selection. The native of Lorton, Va., native made strides in every area of his game in his second season in the Blue and White. His 13.7 points per game average led the Wildcats, who posted 24 victories and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in four years.

🔼 Double The Fun. A sunny Saturday with near perfect temperatures sounds like a great time to fill up Villanova Stadium for a BIG EAST lacrosse doubleheader.

First up, the women welcome #20 Denver to town for a 12 p.m. battle. The ‘Cats and Pioneers are separated by just one game near the top of the league standings.

At 3:30 p.m., the men look to improve to 3-0 in conference action when Providence visits town. The ‘Cats are coming off a hard-fought home win over 20th-ranked Denver last weekend.

🔼 Making Waves. For the third time in program history and first time since 2022, Villanova has earned Boat of the Week status with the Varsity 8 receiving the plaudit from the Coastal Athletic Association earlier this week.

Villanova was lauded with the laurel in back-to-back weeks during the 2021-22 season for its last two weekly nods.

🔼 Smarty ‘Cats. The rowing squad isn’t the only one making waves for the ‘Cats.

This week, seven members of the Villanova Swimming and Diving team were named Academic All-District honorees by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Gavin Jones, Justin Nowicki and Zach Sutter represented the men's team on the list of award recipients while Anna Farley, Peri Gaguzis, Meghan Tiernan and Michelle Kasulka were the women's honorees.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.
