🔼 History Makers. Winners of five of its past six, the Villanova women’s lacrosse team entered historic territory this week as the ‘Cats earned their first-ever national ranking.

With their upset of #2 Stanford on Saturday, Villanova earned a #24 ranking in this week’s Inside Lacrosse’s Top-25 Poll.

The ‘Cats, who are 7-3 overall, jump into BIG EAST play with a road matches at UConn this afternoon and Marquette on Saturday.

🔼 Fearsome Foursome. After securing the biggest win in program history with a 9-8 victory over #2 Stanford this past Saturday, four Villanova women’s lacrosse standouts were recognized by the BIG EAST.

Mary Moore was named BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week, Allie Bell earned Freshman of the Week, and Katie Clark and Ashlyn Hickey were recognized on the BIG EAST Honor Roll.

Of the 118 goals that Villanova women’s lacrosse has scored this spring, how many different ‘Cats have scored at least one of those goals?

🔼 Three Of A Kind. Following up a 21-7 drubbing of St. John's in the team's BIG EAST opener on Saturday, a trio of Wildcat men's lacrosse players were selected on the league's weekly awards.

Luke Raymond picked up Villanova's first Offensive Player of the Week honor this year while Beau Kemler and George Glomb each earned selection to the Weekly Honor Roll.

🔼 In Good Company. Villanova Athletics was among 15 institutions selected to participate in the NCAA Office of Inclusion's eighth annual Common Ground program, held in early March, at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis.

This year's event brought together nearly 70 student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and university staff from faith-based, private, and public institutions for three days of educational sessions, intentional dialogue, relationship building, reflection, and strategy development. Each institution participated as a team, allowing campus representatives to explore shared challenges and identify strategies and resources to support their communities.
