🔼 The Quest Starts Now. All the early morning workouts. All the late night film sessions. All the blood, sweat and tears were for moments like this.
Tomorrow night, the second-seeded Villanova women’s hoops squad opens play in the second round of the 2026 BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The ‘Cats will face-off with the winner of seventh-seeded Providence and 10th-seeded DePaul. Tip time on Peacock is set for 7 p.m.
🔼 Hardware Haul. Before even taking the floor at Mohegan Sun Arena, the ‘Cats have already loaded up the luggage with plenty of hardware.
A trio of Villanova women’s hoops standouts were recognized for their performances this season, highlighted by sophomore guard Jasmine Bascoe, who was a unanimous First Team All-League selection for the second straight season.
Junior forward Brynn McCurry earned second team All-BIG East accolades, in addition to being the league's Most Improved Player, while freshman guard Kennedy Henry was named to both the All-Freshman Team and All-Defensive Team.
🔼 WIN-dy City. Using a 50-point second half, the Villanova men’s hoops squad picked up its eighth road conference win of the season with a 76-57 defeat of DePaul on Wednesday night in Chicago.
Junior Tyler Perkins led the way with 20 points while Duke Brennan added 15 points and 12 boards – his 13th double-double of the year. Devin Askew scored all 14 of his points after halftime.
The ‘Cats are back at home for their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at 12 pm when Xavier in town.
🔼 Winning Wednesday. The scoring started early and often for the Villanova women’s lacrosse squad on Wednesday afternoon.
Using a seven-goal first quarter, the ‘Cats rolled to their second straight road win, defeating Sienna, 11-5.
Mary Moore led the way with her second hat trick of the season, while Jillian Vaught and Madison Freeman each added two goals apiece.
🔼 No Runs For You. A combination of five different Villanova hurlers limited North Florida to just three hits in a 4-0 road win on Wednesday afternoon in Jacksonville.
Jack Chavez and Matthew Khan both worked three scoreless innings apiece, while John Freitag led the offensive attack with two hits and two RBIs for the ‘Cats.
🔼 Tickets Punched. Six tickets to Fayetteville, please.
On Wednesday, the Villanova track & field program earned tickets in three events to next weekend’s NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
Senior distance runner Marco Lagon (3000m), the men’s DMR and women’s 800m standout Lizzie Martell all punched their tickets to the championship meet.
🔼 Three Of A Kind. With temperatures starting to warm up, so is the Villanova women’s tennis team.
A decisive 6-1 victory over St. Bonaventure on Wednesday gave the ‘Cats their third straight win and sixth win in the past seven matches.
