🔼 Saturday To Remember. For the first time in program history, the Villanova women’s lacrosse team earned a top-five victory on Saturday afternoon, taking down #2 Stanford, 9-8, at Villanova Stadium.
She may only be a junior, but Emma Verhoest highlighted the day by breaking the program's all-time record for draw controls. Mary Moore was the offensive star with a hat trick and an assist for the ‘Cats.
🔼 Kings Of New York. It was truly a team effort for the Villanova men’s lacrosse team, who opened BIG EAST action in impressive fashion, rolling past St. John’s, 21-7, on Saturday in Queens.
Luke Raymond scored a career-high seven goals for Villanova, while David Link added six points on a score and season-high five assists. Colin Michener contributed a hat trick as Lachlan Moffatt totaled his first career goal as part of a two-score day.
🔼 Ticket Punched. Winners of 13 of their last 15 matches, the Villanova women’s water polo squad punched their ticket and claimed the #2 seed for the upcoming MAAC Tournament in two weeks.
The ‘Cats swept their way through a weekend in Virginia, earning victories over Siena (15-7), Iona (13-12) and Mount St. Mary’s (16-9).
The three wins also marked the third consecutive year in the Michael Gordon era that the team has won 20 games.

🔼 Give ‘Em Two. The Villanova softball squad picked up its second BIG EAST series win, taking two of three from visiting Georgetown over the weekend.
They did so in dramatic fashion as Grace Reed launched a two-run, 11th-inning HR in the series opener to give the ‘Cats a 6-5 victory. Villanova followed that up with a 5-3 win on Saturday to clinch the series.
