🔼 Going Out With A Bang. It was a special Saturday at The Finn as the men’s basketball team defeated Butler 80-70 on Senior Day! Eric Dixon scored 34 points to move to third on the Villanova all-time points list. It was his second-straight game with more than 30 points. Jordan Longino, Wooga Poplar and Enoch Boakye also scored in double figures in their final game at Finneran Pavilion. The regular season will come to a close tomorrow night at Georgetown at 8 p.m. Fans can watch the game live on Peacock, or listen to the live radio broadcast with Ryan Fannon & Whitey Rigsby on the Villanova Sports Radio Network on Fox Sports Radio Philadelphia, the iHeart App, SiriusXM, or the TuneIn App.

🔼 Shining Silver. The men’s track & field team finished runner-up at the BIG EAST Championships! Liam Murphy became the first Villanova athlete to win three-straight 3000m titles. He now owns 11 BIG EAST titles. The women’s team finished in fifth-place at the meet. Roschell Clayton was named Most Outstanding Field Performer as she won her fourth-straight BIG EAST title. She set a new program record for most career high jump gold medals.

🔼 That’s A Wrap. The women’s basketball team fell to No. 21 Creighton 70-55 in the regular season finale. Jasmine Bascoe scored a career-high 27 points, including four three-pointers. She neared a double-double with nine rebounds. The Wildcats will be the five-seed in the BIG EAST Tournament, playing four-seed Marquette on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

🔼 Weekend Away. Villanova softball picked up a couple of wins at the Hokie Invite. The weekend was highlighted by a top-25 upset as the Wildcats beat No. 15 Virginia Tech 7-6! Mackenzie Waghorn hit a grand slam in the third inning, which proved to be the game-winning hit. They split the day again on Saturday with a 9-0 win over Robert Morris and a loss to Radford. They finished the weekend with a 6-1 loss to Penn State.

🔼 Grand Ol’ Time. Villanova baseball took two from Lipscomb on the road to win the series! The Wildcats dropped Friday’s game but bounced back to win on Saturday and Sunday. Luke McCollough threw seven scoreless innings as the Wildcats won 8-3 on Saturday. On Sunday, the Wildcats trailed until Jason Neff hit a go-ahead grand slam. Brayden Leonard drove in the game-winning run in the ninth inning to win the game 7-6.

🔼 Sweep Dreams. The water polo team swept the Convergence Tournament over the weekend! They picked up four wins over Concordia, Cal State Fullerton, McKendree and California Lutheran. It was the first time they’ve swept two tournaments in a season since 1999.

🔼 Rivalry Rewind. The men’s lacrosse team is hosting Drexel for a Rivalry Rewind tomorrow at 4 p.m., presented by Villanova College of Professional Studies. The Wildcats are coming off a 10-7 loss to Lehigh.
The women’s lacrosse team is playing at UC Davis tonight at 7 p.m.
