🔼 ‘Cats > Dogs. As the calendar officially turns to spring, the weather isn’t the only thing warming up as the Villanova baseball team continued its strong play with a series victory over UNC Asheville this past weekend.

The ‘Cats turned up the offense, scoring 21 runs in the final two games of the series to pick up wins of 10-4 and 11-6. Villanova has now won six of its past eight games as BIG EAST play is just around the corner.

🔼 X Marks The Spot. The Villanova women’s lacrosse team opened up BIG EAST play with a hard-fought 14-8 victory over Xavier, using a huge second quarter to spur them to the win.

Sophomore Leslie Iorio paced the offensive attack with a career-high five goals, while Rose Christie netted a third straight hat trick with three goals and an assist in the contest.

🔼 Key To Victory. The potent offense of the Villanova water polo team was on display yet again this weekend as the ‘Cats defeated VMI, 20-6, in MAAC action.

Villanova’s 4-1 start in MAAC play is the program's best five-game conference start since 2005. The victory marked the the fifth time VU has scored 20+ goals in 2026. 

Villanova saw four players score hat tricks on the day — Catharine McCann, Layla Canales, Annika Wise and Riley Hull.

🔼 Breakin’ Out. In just his fifth career appearance in an NBA game, former ‘Cat Tyler Burton had a breakout performance for the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

Facing the Boston Celtics, Burton poured in 23 points, including five 3-pointers, as well as grabbing five rebounds and dishing out two assists for Memphis.
