🔼 Survive & Advance. Villanova women’s basketball beat Boston College 76-70 in the first round of the WBIT last night! Jasmine Bascoe led the ‘Cats with 24 points, while Ryanne Allen tied her career-high with 17. Villanova will play the second round of the WBIT at Saint Joseph’s on Sunday at 2 p.m.

🔼 Shining Young Stars. Freshmen took over in Villanova baseball’s 3-2 win over Princeton on Wednesday! Brayden Leonard drove in two runs on a pair of RBI singles. John Freitag hit his first career home run to account for all three Wildcat runs. Jack Chavez took the mound in relief in the seventh inning to allow no runs and no hits for his first career save.
The Wildcats will play a three-game series at Wofford this weekend, starting today at 5:30 p.m.

🔼 No Question. Men’s basketball’s Eric Dixon earned three All-American honors this week! He was named Second Team All-America by Sporting News and Third Team by the Associated Press and USBWA. He remains the nation’s leading scorer with 23 points per game.

🔼 Rockin’ Rookie. Women’s water polo center Riley Hull has been named the MAAC Rookie of the Week! She led the team in goals and exclusions drawn at the MAAC-VMI Showcase. She becomes the third Villanova freshman in program history to win the honor twice in a season. The Wildcats will play three matches at La Salle throughout the weekend.

🔼 Conference Showdown. It’s time for BIG EAST play for the women’s lacrosse team! They’ll host UConn on Saturday at 1 p.m. Fans at home can watch on FloSports. The Wildcats are on a three-game winning streak entering the weekend! The Huskies are coming off a win over Columbia.
