🔼  For The Crown. The men’s basketball team is Las Vegas bound for the inaugural Crown Tournament! They’ll play Colorado at 8:30 p.m. ET on April 1 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The game will air on FS1. The Wildcats will be led by interim head coach Mike Nardi.

🔼  Back In Action. The women’s basketball team will host Boston College tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the first round of the WBIT! With a win, the Wildcats would play Saint Joseph’s or UAlbany on Sunday. The first three rounds will be held at campus sites of the higher-seeded team.

🔼  Seeing Green. The men’s lacrosse team had a successful St. Patrick’s Day as they closed non-conference play with a 16-9 win over Brown! Nicholas Lucchesi and Colin Michener combined for seven of the Wildcats’ season-high 16 goals. Goalie Denis Fargione saved 19 shots on goal! The ‘Cats have 11 days off before entering conference play at Denver.

🔼  Bobby’s Bump. Villanova pitcher Bobby Olsen was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week! He threw a season-high nine strikeouts against NJIT on Friday. He allowed just one run and no walks. He’ll take the mound this weekend in his home state as the Wildcats play at Wofford.

🔼 Another One. The pitching honors rolled over to softball as Kat Gallant was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week! She led the conference with a 1.08 ERA through two appearances last week. She threw an eight-inning complete game on Friday, then threw five scoreless innings in relief on Saturday.

🔼 Perfect Pair. Two women’s lacrosse players earned BIG EAST honors this week! Sydney Pappas was named the Attacker of the Week after becoming the program’s leading goal scorer. Emma Verhoest was named the Midfielder of the Week after tying her own school record with 16 draw controls against Columbia.
