🔼 Double The Pleasure. What’s better than game day with the ‘Cats? How about a double game day?

Tonight, the Villanova hoops squads hit the floor for two big time BIG EAST battles, beginning at 6:30 when the men’s team hosts Seton Hall.

In late December, the ‘Cats gutted out a road win over the Pirates, but as the two teams enter the final few weeks of league play, they are jockeying for a top-three seed in the BIG EAST Tournament.

On the women’s side, Villanova travels to Butler looking to keep pace near the top of the league standings, entering tonight’s matchup a game up for sole possession of second place.

With three 20-plus point performances in his past six games, Devin Askew has been surging for the ‘Cats, averaging 15.6 ppg over that span.

🔼 Bascoe’s Ballin’. Big time players make big time plays in big time moments.

That’s exactly what Jasmine Bascoe has done for the Villanova women’s hoops team after she averaged 24.5 points and 5.5 assists in the ‘Cats 2-0 showing last week. For her efforts, she was named Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week, as well as earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

In addition, Bascoe’s teammate Brooke Bender was named Philadelphia Big Five Rookie of the Week after averaging 11.5 points and 2.0 rebounds for the ‘Cats.

🔼 Welcome To The Club. With 59 points in his past three games, former Villanova star Jalen Brunson entered an exclusive club with his 10,000th career point in the NBA.

Brunson is now one of just three former ‘Cats to reach 10,000+ points in the NBA, joining Kyle Lowry (16,362) and Paul Arizin (16,266).

🔼 Nine Is Fine. A stifling defensive effort and hat tricks from Riley Hull and Ella Mattocks led the way for the Villanova water polo team in a 9-3 defeat of Santa Clara this past Sunday.

In goal, Gracin Kerry had eight saves, taking her to 504 career saves, the fourth most in program history.
