🔼 For Philly. It was a thrilling Super Bowl Sunday in South Philly! Before the Eagles became Super Bowl Champions, the Villanova men’s basketball team beat Xavier 80-68 at the Wells Fargo Center. Eric Dixon led the ‘Cats with 24 points, while Wooga Poplar was close behind with 23. Tyler Perkins was the third Wildcat with 20 points. The Wildcats will host No. 12 St. John’s on Wednesday.

🔼  Domination Station. The women’s lacrosse team started the season strong with a 20-4 win over Binghamton! Sami Carey scored five goals and recorded six assists for a career-high 11 points. The Wildcats will host Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

🔼 Rewriting Records. Wildcat runners Liam Murphy and Marco Langon continue to rewrite their own records! Murphy shattered his top school record in the 3000m, while Langon improved his second-place time at the Scarlet & White Invite. They went 1-2 in the race against professionals and top collegians. Their times rank fourth and seventh in NCAA indoor history.

Roschell Clayton won the high jump for the women’s team at the Penn Classic!

🔼 Upset Season. The water polo team took down No. 21 Brown 11-8 for their first ranked win since 2021! Riley Hull scored four times, recorded an assist, and drew a season-high six exclusions. The Wildcats will host Siena College on Saturday.
