🔼 Wildcat Weekend. 30 hours. 3 games.

Now that’s what we call a Wildcat Weekend as three BIG TIME matchups are on tap for the Villanova football and basketball squads.

Up first, a second round FCS Playoff matchup for the red-hot football team that takes a nine-game win streak up the road to Lehigh to battle for a spot in the quarterfinals. Nova Nation is encouraged to attend the pregame alumni/fan tailgate on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.

Saturday night, the men’s hoops team hits the court at the Xfinity Mobile Arena to square off with Penn in the Big 5 Championship game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

The women’s team caps off the jam-packed weekend on Sunday afternoon with a 4:30 pm showdown with Saint Joseph’s in the Big 5 Championship game at Finneran Pavilion.

🔼 A Capital W. A fastbreak jumper by Jasmine Bascoe with just over two minutes to play in the first quarter gave the Villanova women’s hoops team a lead they would never relinquish as the Wildcats picked up their first BIG EAST win of the season in a 76-69 defeat of Georgetown on Thursday night.

Bascoe had yet another monster performance, finishing with 26 points, four assists and three steals, while Brynn McCurry added her second straight 20+ point outing with 20 points, three assists and three steals for the ‘Cats

🏈 Meet the Newest Wildcats

🔼 Going Global. She’s only a few months into her career at Villanova, but she’s already taking the ‘Cats to the global stage.

This week, freshman Zoe Mosher was named to Team Canada for the upcoming U20 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. in January.

🔼 Region’s Best. Add another line to her resume.

Graduate student Ava Borkowski added to her accolades for the 2025 season this week when she was named to the Second Team Mid-Atlantic Region.

The Conshohocken, Pa., native led the Wildcats with eight goals and 16 points during the regular season. Her consistent offensive production earned her the conferences Co-Offensive Player of the Year recognition.
