🔼 Century Mark. The women’s basketball team opened BIG EAST play with a BIG win! They defeated St. John’s 71-57 on Saturday afternoon. It was Coach Denise Dillon’s 100th win at Villanova. Jasmine Bascoe led the team with 24 points. The Wildcats will return on New Year’s Day when they host Seton Hall at 8:30 p.m.

🔼 Road Woes. The men’s basketball team saw their five-game winning streak snap in their first road game of BIG EAST play. They fell to Creighton 86-79 on Saturday. Eric Dixon led the way with 27 points, while Wooga Poplar recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. They’ll have an 11-day break before kicking off the new year at Butler on January 1.
