🔼 Weathered The Storm. FDU came out of the gates firing on Wednesday night, but it was nothing too big for the red-hot Wildcat men’s basketball team! Villanova’s offense came to play, going 30-of-54 on field goal attempts and recording 19 assists. Eric Dixon and Wooga Poplar combined for 46 points. Jhamir Brickus recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists. The Wildcats took over to defeat FDU 86-72 for their fourth-straight win.

🔼 Wednesday Night Ws. The women’s basketball team also picked up a win on Wednesday night, defeating Delaware 75-65 on the road. Four Wildcats finished the game in double figures, with Maddie Webber leading the way with 17 points. Bronagh Power-Cassidy scored 16, Lara Edmanson scored 14 and Jasmine Bascoe finished with 12. Power-Cassidy reached a milestone of over 1,500 career points in the win.

🔜 Villanova will host James Madison on Sunday at 2 p.m.

🔼 Double Trouble. Two Wildcat field hockey players earned Philly-SIDA honors! Sabine de Ruijter was named Co-Performer of the Year after another stellar season. She finished the year near the top of the Villanova record books, while also working towards a Master of Science in Finance. Ava Borkowski was named to the Academic All-Area team after scoring 10 goals in her first season on the Main Line.

🔼 Keep ‘Em Coming. The postseason awards continue to roll in for women’s soccer’s Susanna Soderman! She earned a spot on the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area team. She also earned CSC Academic All-District honors last month.

🏐 Volleyball’s Abby Harrell also earned Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area honors. She was the lone sophomore on the 10-person team and first Wildcat to make the volleyball list since 2019.
