🔼 Win In The Finn. The men’s basketball team started the season with a win on Monday night! The Wildcats defeated Lafayette 75-63. Wooga Poplar led Villanova with 20 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double in a Wildcat uniform. Enoch Boakye held down the interior in Eric Dixon’s absence. He also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Wildcats will be back in action tonight when Columbia comes to town! Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

🔼 Here Are The Honorees. Two Wildcats made the BIG EAST Weekly Field Hockey Honor Roll! Sabine de Ruijter earned a spot after scoring two goals in Friday’s win over Providence. She scored the game-winning penalty stroke in the third quarter. Maddi Sears picked up her fourth straight weekly conference award. She made three saves on Friday, her 12th straight game with three or more saves. The Wildcats finish the season with 13 weekly conference awards, their most in program history.

🔼 Final Honors Of Fall. The final BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week honor of the fall went to Ryan Pamer! He becomes the third golfer in Villanova history to receive the award twice in the athletic year. He won the Big 5 Championship individual title, his second title of the season.

🔼  Booked & Busy. Villanova swimming & diving has a busy week with three meets! The women’s team will host Penn, both teams will travel to La Salle and then the men’s team will host Providence. The women’s team hosts Penn today, with diving starting at 4 p.m. Both teams enter the match undefeated.
