🔼 Grand Opening. The Villanova women’s hoops squad got things off to a great start in 2025-26 with a wire-to-wire 70-38 victory over visiting Lafayette on Monday night.

Freshman Kennedy Henry led four Wildcats in double-figures with 13 points, including four 3-pointers. Classmate Brooke Bender added 12 points and six rebounds, while Kelsey Joens (11 points) and Jasmine Bascoe (10 points) also finished in double-digits.

No rest for the ‘Cats, who now welcome one of the nation’s top mid-major programs in the country to town with Fairfield on tap for a 7 p.m. tip tonight.

🔼 Toe-To-Toe. A new era of Villanova men’s hoops began on Monday night with a back-and-forth battle with one of the country’s top-10 teams. The ‘Cats gave #8 BYU all they could handle, but the Cougars held off a late rally for a 71-66 victory.

JMU transfer Bryce Lindsay led the way with 22 points, including five 3-pointers, in his Villanova debut, while Chris Jeffrey added 11 points.

🔼 20/20 Club. Knocking down a corner 3-pointer and dishing out an assist, Villanova legend Kyle Lowry officially became just the 12th player in NBA history to reach 20 seasons of longevity.

Lowry joins an incredible list that includes Vince Carter, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Robert Parish, Kevin Willis, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Jamal Crawford and Udonis Haslem.

🔼 Dynamic Duo. The final batch of BIG EAST Weekly Awards were unveiled on Monday with Kate Dobsch and Hannah Dickinson landing Weekly Honor Roll laurels.

The latest awards bring the veteran duo to a combined seven weekly plaudits this year. Dickinson has been on the weekly honor roll four times while this is Dobsch's first. The two were named Goalkeeper and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, earlier in the season.

🔼 Grand Finale. The Villanova men’s soccer team wrapped up its 2025 home slate in dominating fashion, rolling to a 6-0 victory overa Holy Family on Tuesday afternoon.

Michael teDuits got the scoring started early with a goal in the seventh minute and the Wildcats never looked back. Villanova went on to add five more goals from four different Wildcats. Junior Javon Daniels provided a spark off the bench, adding a pair of second half goals to push the game out of reach.
