🔼 The Wait Is Over. After months of waiting, Villanova Basketball is finally back!
The 2025-26 season kicks off for both Wildcats hoops program with the women set to host Lafayette at 7 pm and the men in Las Vegas battling #8 BYU at 9:30 on TNT.
🔼 Hardware Haul. A complete team effort led the Villanova women to a runner-up finish at the 2025 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships.
It is the first time since 2019 that the Wildcats have made the team awards podium, and the finish came on the strength of all five scoring runners in the Villanova lineup earning All-BIG EAST honors for their individual finishes.
The strength of the Wildcats roster was evident with four runners among the first 10 across the finish line and all five scorers in the top 17 overall.
🔼 Ticket Punched. Over the weekend, the Villanova field hockey squad earned its ticket to the postseason as the Wildcats finished fourth in the BIG EAST Standings.
The ‘Cats battled #7 Liberty in a tough loss over the weekend, but secured the final spot thanks to a loss by Quinnipiac in the season finale.
Villanova will now travel back to Lynchburg next weekend to play the Flames once again in the first round.
🔼 In The Hunt. With just four regular season matches remaining, the Villanova volleyball squad is right in the middle of the hunt for the postseason after a weekend split, which included a 3-1 victory at Butler on Saturday.
The Wildcats are currently 8-4 in the conference standings and two games up for a spot in the postseason. Georgetown and UConn, the two teams chasing Villanova are on the docket in the final four matches of the regular season.
🔼 Nine Is Fine. The Villanova women’s soccer squad wrapped up its 2025 campaign the way it spent most of the fall, by not allowing a goal.
The Wildcats posted a scoreless draw with Butler on Saturday to post its ninth shutout of the season, the most by Villanova since 2007. Villanova was just two points out of the final BIG EAST Tournament, earning the program’s best conference finish since 2019.
