🏆 Eric Dixon was named the Big Five Player of the Week and landed on the BIG EAST Honor Roll. He combined for 61 points last week, averaging 30.5 per game. His 26.7 points per game ranks third among all NCAA DI men’s basketball players.

🔼 Coming Home. The women’s basketball team fell to Baylor 73-62 in their final game at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas. The Wildcats finished the tournament in fourth-place. Denae Carter led the team with 13 points, adding six rebounds and two steals. Jasmine Bascoe passed the rock efficiently, setting a new team-high for the season with seven assists.

🔜 Villanova heads into Philadelphia to play Saint Joseph’s at Hagan Arena on Sunday at 2 p.m.

🔼 Tourney Time. Villanova volleyball takes on round one of the BIG EAST Tournament in Omaha, Nebraska today. They’ll play three-seed UConn at 6 p.m. The Huskies are a familiar foe, having beaten the Wildcats twice this season. But, as the saying goes, it’s hard to beat a team three times. With a win, Villanova would play Marquette on Friday at 6 p.m.

🏆 Two Wildcats brought in conference honors this season! Abby Harrell was named to the All-BIG EAST team. Campbell McKinnon landed on the All-Freshman team. Villanova was one of five schools with multiple athletes on the All-Conference lists.

🔼 With Good Company. Villanova running back David Avit has been named a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award! The award goes to the national freshman player of the year. Previous recipients include Cooper Kupp, Chase Edmonds, Trey Lance, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. Avit has scored eight touchdowns, rushing for 764 yards this season. He was also named the CAA Football Offensive Rookie of the Year!

🏆 Brendan Bell, Shane Hartzell, Isas Eaxter and Jake Picard earned First Team All-CAA honors. Ty Trinh was named to the Second Team. Honorable Mentions include Connor Watkins, Stephane Voltaire, David Avit and Obinna Nwobodo.
