🔼 That’s A Baker’s Dozen. Before the FCS Playoffs kickoff this weekend at Villanova Stadium, the Wildcats began collecting their yearly accolades.
On Tuesday, Villanova was represented by 13 players who appeared on the CAA Football All-Conference and honorable mention lists. It is the most postseason honors for the Wildcats since the team had 14 honorees in 2010.
Junior kick return specialist Ja'briel Mace became just the second player in Villanova history to be a conference Special Teams Player of the Year. This marks the 16th time since 2007 and the seventh time in the last eight years that the Wildcats have earned one of the league's major postseason awards.

As we mentioned, this year marks the 17th FCS Playoff appearance all-time for the Villanova football program.

🔼 One More To Go. Two down, one to go.
The Villanova women’s hoops squad made the short trip over to La Salle on Tuesday night, earning a 66-54 win over the Explorers and punching their ticket to the Big 5 Championship game. The ‘Cats will play the winner of Saturday’s game between Saint Joseph’s and Drexel on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m.
Brynn McCurry led the way in the win with a career-high tying 18 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Jasmine Bascoe tallied 16 points, while Kennedy Henry added 11 points.

🔼 We’ll Take Two. Even before stepping onto the court at La Salle last night, a pair of ‘Cats took accolades home with Ryanne Allen and Brooke Bender both earning weekly accolades from the Philadelphia Big Five.
Allen was named Player of the Week after her 19-point, six assist and three rebound performance in a decisive win over Temple, while Bender’s 11-point outburst, which included three 3-pointers, landed her Rookie of the Week honors.
🔼 Playoffs? We’re Talking About The Playoffs? Coming off a dominant regular season and riding its longest winning streak in 16 years, the Villanova football team is headed back to the FCS playoffs.
Villanova will host a first round game on Saturday, November 29, against Harvard (9-1), an at-large selection from the Ivy League. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with kickoff slated for 12 pm at Villanova Stadium.
Villanova is making its 17th FCS playoff appearance all-time, its third in a row and fifth in the last seven years under head coach Mark Ferrante.

🔼 Raising The Bar. Villanova swimming and diving wrapped up the Navy Invite with a dominant showing, earning a women's team victory, a third-place finish on the men's side and 4,253 total points to place third overall.
Over the three-day meet, the Wildcats set three program records.
