🔼 Roedl Takes The Reins. Villanova has named Eric Roedl the Vice President and Director of Athletics! He comes from the University of Oregon and will start his new role at Villanova in January. Not only has he been a leader at Oregon, but he has also served on the Pac-12 Football and Men’s Basketball Working Groups. Roedl also was the president of the College Athletics Business Management Association.

He returns to his roots as a Villanova alumnus (Class of 1997) and a men’s tennis student-athlete. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova. His wife Nicole graduated in the Class of 1998.

🔼 Wildcat Win. The men’s basketball team dominated Penn last night, winning 93-49. Eric Dixon led the way with 23 points, adding six rebounds. Wooga Poplar, Jhamir Brickus and Tyler Perkins also scored in double figures. Up next, the Wildcats will play Maryland in the Empire Classic at the Prudential Center at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

🔼 Getting Groovy. Tonight is Retro Night at The Finn! The women’s basketball team will host Penn at 7 p.m. in a Philly Big 5 matchup. Each quarter, we’ll highlight a different decade. The Wildcats are coming off a win over Columbia, while Penn lost their last game to Saint Joseph’s.

🔼 Oh, Captains. The captains for the 2025 men’s lacrosse season have been announced! Matt Licata, Luke Raymond, David Evanchick and Jack Shoemaker were voted captains by their fellow teammates based on leadership and maintaining the program’s core values. The 2025 schedule will be announced later this fall!
