🔼 Heating Up. The temperatures outside may be cooling down, but on the field, the Villanova football team is heating up.

Veteran QB Pat McQuaide threw for 293 yards and two TDs and the Wildcat defense forced a season-high four turnovers to lead Villanova to a 44-21 road victory at Lafayette on Saturday afternoon. It is the Wildcats’ third straight victory and moves them into a four-way tie for second place in the conference standings with three weeks left in the regular season.

A high-powered Wildcats offense set the tone with 31 points by halftime, and an opportunistic defense sealed the outcome in the second half. Villanova tied a program record with its ninth consecutive road win over an FCS opponent dating back to last season.

🔼 No Tricks, All Treats. The incredible season from the Villanova women’s soccer program continued on Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee as the ‘Cats scored early and let their defense do the rest en route to a 1-0 victory over Marquette.

The win marked Villanova’s 12th clean sheet of the season and helped the ‘Cats clinch a top-two finish entering next weekend’s regular season finale against UConn. The top-two finish marks the first since 2005 when Villanova finished second.

Avrie Nelsen got the ‘Cats on the board in the 11th minute off a throw-in from Ambyr Baker, while Hannah Dickinson racked up a season-high six saves for her 10th shutout of the season.

🔼 Hardware Haul. It was an impressive weekend on the course for the Villanova men's and women's cross country teams, who both grabbed runner-up finishes at the 2026 BIG EAST Championships.

Led by senior Bailey Habler, who captured the individual title, the men’s team totaled 40 points, finishing just seven points behind Georgetown for the team title. Habler became the 11th Wildcat in program history to win the conference's individual crown. Charlie Moore (sixth) and Thomas McMahon (eighth) also earned top-10 finishes as Villanova placed seven runners among the top 20 for the first time in program history.

On the women's side, the Wildcats finished second with 44 points behind Providence, led by outstanding performances from Tilly O'Connor (third, 19:37.0) and Rosemary Shay (fourth, 19:38.7). Maeve Smith added a 10th-place finish, giving Villanova three runners in the top 10.

🔼 Partnering Up. Villanova Athletics today announced a landmark multiyear partnership with Future Standard, a global alternative asset manager with Philadelphia roots, that will feature the company's brand on the jerseys of all 24 Villanova varsity sports programs.

The agreement represents a significant commitment to the University and reflects a shared ambition to create meaningful opportunities for students and student-athletes.

The Future Standard jersey patch will make its debut on November 1, when the Villanova men's and women's basketball teams face the University of Notre Dame at the Eternal City Tip-Off in Rome, Italy, providing a global stage for the introduction of the partnership.
