🔼 Fell Short. The men’s basketball team fell to Saint Joseph’s last night, 83-76. Down 21-19 in the first half, Jhamir Brickus sparked a 13-5 run, scoring 11 of those points to take the lead. He finished the night with 22 points. Eric Dixon led the Wildcats with 24 points and nine rebounds. Villanova will hit the road to Maryland to play Virginia in the Baltimore Hall of Fame series on Friday.

🔼 First Road Trip. The women’s basketball team hits the road for the first time today! They’ll play at Princeton tonight at 7 p.m. The Wildcats are coming off a 64-56 win over Wake Forest, while the Tigers are coming off a win over DePaul. Nova guard Bronagh Power-Cassidy was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after scoring 17 points on Sunday.

🔼 Crunch Time. Villanova volleyball kicks off the penultimate week of the regular season today. They’ll host St. John’s at 7 p.m. With the regular season winding down, this is a matchup between two of the current six BIG EAST Tournament teams. The Wildcats lost to the Johnnies in their first matchup of the season, so a win would be great for a tie-breaking scenario.

🔼 Fall Finale. The rowing team competed in the Bucknell Invitational to wrap up the fall slate over the weekend. The Wildcats totaled five winning races, with Varsity Eight winning all three of its pieces against Lehigh. The Novice Eight boat defeated Bucknell’s D and B teams in the second and third rounds.
