🔼 Dialong Listance. It was a record-setting night on Tuesday for the Villanova men’s hoops program as it rolled past Sacred Heart 94-60 at Finneran Pavilion.

Sparked by the long-range shooting prowess of guards Bryce Lindsay and Devin Askew, who each had 27 points, the Wildcats established a new program record of 22 made 3-pointers in a game. The nine triples Lindsay sank – including seven in the first half – set the individual record for 3's in a game.

Villanova finished the night with 28 assists on 34 field goals. Freshman Acaden Lewis contributed eight of those.

🔼 Accolades Aplenty. When you put together a historic performance, the accolades are going to roll in.

That’s been the case for Villanova running back Ja’briel Mace, who not only was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, but was honored with the STATS Performance National Offensive Player of the Week award after his record-breaking outing in Saturday’s win at Towson.

Mace is the first Villanova player to be named the National Offensive Player of the Week since quarterback Joe Casamento on September 8, 2003. The only Wildcats to earn the award are Brian Westbrook (2001, 2x); Brian White (2002); Brett Gordon (2002, 2x); Casamento; and Mace.

🔼 Tiger Tussle. After a trip north of the border, the Villanova women’s hoops team returns home for a mid-week battle with nearby rival, Princeton.

The two schools, which are separated by just over 50 miles, are playing for the fifth straight season and 23rd time overall.

Perennial contenders in the Ivy League and one of the nation’s best mid-majors, Princeton has one the past two meetings between the two programs, but the Wildcats hold the 13-9 advantage in the all-time series

🔼 Coming Alive. Third-year NBA standout and former Villanova star Cam Whitmore is coming alive for the Washington Wizards after his first 20-point outing of the 2025-26 season this week.

Whitmore has scored 39 points in the past two games for Washington, including a 20-point, two steal, two rebound night against the Pistons on Monday.

For the season, the former ‘Cat is averaging 9.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per night.

🔼 Power Pair. A pair of Villanova men’s soccer standouts ended the 2025 campaign on a high note as Sebastian Cutler DeJesus and Matthew Klann were both honored with the final BIG EAST Weekly accolades of the season.

Cutler DeJesus was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week after posting a 2-0 week with two clean sheets for the Wildcats. Klann was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after two goals this past week, including the game-winner against Marquette.
