🔼 Raising The Bar. It seemed like every time junior running back Ja'briel Mace touched the ball on Saturday afternoon there was a new superlative or milestone attached to it. His heroics were as crucial as they were impressive for #10 Villanova as Mace led the Wildcats to a hard-fought 28-10 road victory at Towson, the sixth-straight win for the ‘Cats.

Mace broke one of the most hallowed offensive marks in the Villanova record book with a stunning 291 rushing yards on 28 carries. He scored all four of the Wildcats touchdowns and eclipsed the previous school record of 287 rushing yards in a game by Brian Westbrook which had stood since November 10, 2001 in a game against Hofstra.

🔼 Always Remember Your First. Villanova got a major boost from guards Bryce Lindsay (25 points) and Acaden Lewis (21 points, four rebounds, four assists) that helped fuel at 94-74 victory over Queens University of Charlotte in its home opener Saturday night at Finneran Pavilion.

Duke Brennan added 17 points and 20 rebounds – a new career-high – in the effort.

The victory was the first for William B. Finneran Endowed Head Coach Kevin Willard in his Villanova tenure and the 336th of his career.

Up next - a Tuesday night battle with Sacred Heart at the Pavilion.

🔼 Northern Exposure. There’s no place like home.

Sophomore standout Jasmine Bascoe got to enjoy exactly that on Sunday as the Villanova women’s hoops team traveled to Toronto, Canada and brought back a decisive 74-40 victory over VCU.

Bascoe, who grew up just outside of Toronto, poured in a game-high 17 points, along with grabbing five boards and dishing out four assists. Brooke Bender came off the bench to pour in 16 points for the ‘Cats and Denae Carter added 12 in the win.

🔼 Finishing Strong. The Villanova men’s soccer squad used a tried-and-true formula to finish the 2025 season strong and earn the program’s first winning regular season since 2021.

The ‘Cats got an early goal in the eighth minute from freshman Matthew Klann, who scored for the third time in the final five games. From there, it was the defensive effort led by Sebastian Cutler DeJesus in goal (six saves) to earn a second consecutive shutout and team’s seventh shutout of the year.

🔼 Cruising Along. They’re not always that easy.

But the Villanova men’s swimming team sure made it look that way as they cruised to a 187-73 road victory over Providence on Saturday afternoon, claiming 13 wins in 14 events and recording 29 top-three finishes.
