🔼 Better Than The Rest. Two Wildcat football players earned weekly honors this week! Freshman running back David Avit was named the Stats Perform National Freshman of the Week and CAA Rookie of the Week! This is his second straight CAA Rookie of the Week honor. Linebacker Brendan Bell was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Wildcats with a career-high 15 tackles.

🔼 Double It. Similar to football, two volleyball players earned BIG EAST weekly honors after going 2-0 over the weekend! Alyssa Nelson was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after leading the team with 22 digs and adding 38 assists. Abby Harrell landed on the weekly honor roll for the second time this season. She led the team with 24 kills throughout the weekend. They’ll return to the court on Friday to host top-10 Creighton.

🔼  Cardiac ‘Cats. The men’s soccer team took down Columbia in a thrilling 3-2 match! Jorge Garcia scored the game-winning goal on a free kick in the final minute after Columbia tied the game at 86:39. Kyle Dixon and O’Neil Dawes scored the first two Wildcat goals. They’ll return to conference play this weekend when they play at Akron on Saturday.
