🔼 No Place Like Home. Playing at home at the Higgins Soccer Complex for the first time since mid-September, the Villanova men’s soccer team enjoyed the friendly confines with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over a tough NJIT squad on Tuesday afternoon.

Karson Vazquez provided the game’s lone goal in the 47th minute and sophomore goalkeeper Alex Yagudayev tallied seven saves to help the ‘Cats secure the victory.

🔼 Poll Position. After their dominant showing at New Hampshire this past weekend, the Villanova football squad moved up a spot in the latest national poll to #17.

🔼 Show Stopper. After a shutout win at DePaul last week, Villanova senior goalkeeper Hannah Dickinson earned a spot on this week’s BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. The shutout was Dickinson’s fifth solo shutout of the season and 11th of her Wildcat career.

This is the second time this season that the Seattle, Wash. native has landed on the Honor Roll with her last placement coming on Sept. 1. Since then she was also named Goalkeeper of the Week by the league on Sept. 22.

🔼 Weekend Work. The Villanova men’s tennis team took to the courts for the second time this fall season, having a strong showing at the Saint Joseph’s Invitational this past weekend.

Cameron Kruep led the way with a championship run in the Black draw, while teammates Jack Sherner, Evan Ancu, Ryan Benoit, Quincy Jones and Kush Anand each had strong individual weekend performances.

🔼 Finishing Strong. The Villanova women's tennis team closed out its fall season this past weekend at the Villanova/Delaware Invite, turning in strong performances across both singles and doubles play.

In total, the Wildcats piled up 12 wins between doubles and singles action against competition from Seton Hall, Drexel, Army and Georgetown.
