🔼 Rollin’ To Rome. We are now just over 48 hours away from the return of Villanova basketball.
Both teams will be battling Notre Dame in historic fashion on Sunday in the first-ever Eternal City Tip-Off at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, Italy.
Tip-off for the men is set for 9:30 a.m. ET on FOX, followed by the women at 12 p.m. ET on FS1.
🔼 Partnering Up. Villanova Athletics today announced a landmark multiyear partnership with Future Standard, a global alternative asset manager with Philadelphia roots, that will feature the company's brand on the jerseys of all 24 Villanova varsity sports programs.
The agreement represents a significant commitment to the University and reflects a shared ambition to create meaningful opportunities for students and student-athletes.
The Future Standard jersey patch will make its debut on November 1, when the Villanova men's and women's basketball teams face the University of Notre Dame at the Eternal City Tip-Off in Rome, Italy, providing a global stage for the introduction of the partnership.
🔼 Ticket Punched. The Villanova women’s soccer team officially punched its ticket to the postseason on Wednesday with a dominant 3-0 home victory over DePaul for its 11th shutout of the season.
For the first time since 2019, the ‘Cats will be back in the BIG EAST Tournament with its first 10-win regular season since 2009.
🔼 Saturday Showdown. Villanova football looks to extend its winning streak tomorrow afternoon, when the Wildcats travel to face Lafayette in a Patriot League showdown.
The ‘Cats enter the matchup riding a two-game winning streak following an impressive 24-18 upset of No. 11 Lehigh last weekend.
Pat McQuaide has thrown for 1,771 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while running backs Ja'briel Mace and Isaiah Ragland have combined for more than 1,000 rushing yards.
Kickoff on ESPN+ is set for 12:30 p.m. ET.
🔼 Called To The Hall. Former Villanova women's basketball standout Laura Kurz was selected for induction into the Philadelphia Big 5 Hall of Fame, recognizing her outstanding collegiate career and contributions to Philadelphia-area basketball.
This year's class will be recognized during the Men's Toyota Big 5 Classic at the Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday, December 5, and the Women's Big 5 Classic at The Palestra on Sunday, December 6.
🔼 Doublin’ Up. With a successful weekend in the pool, Villanova swimming & diving earned two BIG EAST weekly awards.
Sophomores Anna Kilponen and Hugh Boris were both honored as the Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.
