🔼 Block Party. For the second straight week, Villanova volleyball has a conference major weekly award winner as freshman middle Reagan McGivern was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

McGivern joins Campbell McKinnon (Sept. 15) as Wildcats to be named DPOW this year with this being the second weekly award of McGivern's career (after a Freshman of the Week nod on Sept. 29) and the fourth POW nod the 'Cats have been given this season.

It's the first time since 1991 that Villanova has earned more than three Player of the Week honors in a single year, and the first since 2017 that the Wildcats have even earned multiple Defensive Player of the Week honors in the same season.

🔼 Showin’ Out. Four years into his NFL career and former Villanova standout Christian Benford is still doing his thing.

This past Sunday, Benford picked up his first turnover of the year with a fumble recovery in the first quarter of Buffalo’s blowout win in Carolina.

On the year, Benford has 29 tackles in seven games for the Bills, who sit at 5-2 and in prime position to make another playoff push.

🔼 Checking In. Villanova opens its 2025-26 Men's Basketball regular season on Monday, Nov. 3 vs. No. 8 BYU at the Hall of Fame Las Vegas event at T-Mobile Arena.

🔼 Three Of A Kind. For the third time this season, Villanova goalkeeper Hannah Dickinson landed a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

This past week, the Seattle, Wash. native reset her career high for saves with 15 at No. 12 Georgetown. She anchored a Villanova backline that held the Hoyas without a first half goal for the first time in BIG EAST action this season. All told, Dickinson accounted for 19 saves over two games.
